Welcome to Benny's Benefit page in memory of our beautiful red golden boy Benson (Benny). He was 10 years old when he suddenly got ill, and within a month-he was gone. Hemangiosarcoma was growing inside his body and we had no idea he was even sick -until it was too late . That's why we created this page to help find a cure for this deadly disease. Since so many Goldens are effected by this disease, we think it is important to help the study . The Morris Animal Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Study is one of the largest, most comprehensive prospective canine health studies in the United States. The Study’s purpose is to identify the nutritional, environmental, lifestyle and genetic risk factors for cancer and other diseases in dogs. Each year, with the help of veterinarians and dog owners, the Foundation collects health, environmental and behavioral data on 3,000+ enrolled golden retrievers.
